Art Deco 14kt/Platinum Teardrop Opal + Diamond Ring
A stunning opal and diamond ring from the Art Deco (1920s) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold and platinum, this gorgeous piece stars a teardrop-shaped opal encircled by sparkling Single Cut diamonds. The vibrant opal, which has an approximate total weight of 3ct, displays gorgeous hues of blues, greens, and yellows which boldly flash in the light with every movement. The diamonds and opal rest in a raised platinum setting with an open channel along the sides, lined with a delicate yellow gold cutout circle design. The piece is completed by a polished yellow gold band which tapers slightly at the back. This ring strikes the perfect balance of delicate and bold and would make for a wonderful addition to any collection.
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 7.5 but could easily be resized. The opal measures about 9mm by 15mm, weighing approximately 3ct. The teardrop-shaped centerpiece measures nearly 5/8" at the widest and 7/8" tall.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and platinum setting. The opal displays natural inclusions on the underside, but this does not impact the integrity or beauty of the stone. It is not visible when the ring is worn and all of the diamonds are secure and intact.
