Art Deco 14kt Rock Quartz Crystal Diamond Filigree Pendant
A beautiful rock quartz crystal pendant from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! Crafted in 14kt white gold, this lovely piece features an oval-shaped rock quartz crystal plaque, adorned with a single diamond at the center. The plaque displays a smoothly polished surface along the front with a fantastic reverse carved starburst design on the back, which shows through to the front. The plaque rests within a prong setting, surrounded by an exquisite filigree wirework border, featuring delicate cutouts and lacy accents. The border has a subtle scalloped edge and fine milgrained detail is found throughout, both providing a wonderful, feminine appeal. A sparkling accent diamond rests within a filigree box setting, which is riveted into the center of the plaque. The pendant hangs from a complimentary filigree topper, allowing the piece to dangle with lovely movement from a favorite chain. Attached at the back of the topper is a hidden bail, stamped with a "14K" gold purity mark. An incredible pendant with a fabulous Art Deco look, it would make a special addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs slightly under 2" long, and measures approximately 7/8" wide and 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the white gold setting or to the filigree wirework. The rock quartz crystal plaque and the diamond stone are both intact and securely set. The bail is secure and in good working condition.
