Art Deco 18kt/Platinum Diamond + Carved Jade Teardrop Earrings
A lovely pair of jade earrings from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! Crafted in 18kt yellow gold and platinum, these beautiful earrings begin with a simple surmount adorned with an old Rose Cut diamond set atop a smaller diamond in an arrow-shaped setting. Dangling freely below, capped with a gold topper, is a hand carved jade teardrop link. The jade stones display light green and white marbling, contrasting beautifully against the gold and platinum setting. The collective approximate diamond weight between both earrings is 0.30ctw, the perfect amount of sparkle to complement the soft jade stones. An 18kt post and ear harp secure the pair to the wearer's ears, allowing for comfortable wear and wonderful movement. These earrings would be a perfect addition to any jade and diamond collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 1 3/4" long. The teardrop jade links are 1 3/16" long and slightly more than 1/4" at the thickest point. The surmounts are about 3/16" at their widest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and platinum setting, jade stones, or diamonds, all of which are intact. The earring posts and backs are secure and in good condition.
