A beautiful pair of carved rose quartz earrings from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! These stunning earrings are Chinese in origin and quite substantial both in size and appearance. Crafted in sterling silver, each features a rose quartz surmount, which attaches to a rose quartz bead that is split in the center and separated by a faceted rock crystal rondelle. An elongated rose quartz plaque swings freely from the large split bead, displaying an ornate, hand-carved surface with delicate cut outs throughout, beautifully reflecting its Chinese origin. All of the rose quartz exhibits a feminine, soft pink hue, and both the bead and round topper are faceted, catching the light beautifully with every movement. The rock quartz crystal rondelles add a wonderful sparkle while the darkened patina on the silver adds dimension to the design. On the back of each surmount is a simple screw-on post and earring back, resting securely behind. When worn, the earrings dangle with lovely movement, and frame the face beautifully, making them make a fantastic statement piece to add to any collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 3" long, and measures 3/8" wide and thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting. The carved rose quartz plaques, beads, and toppers, along with the rock quartz crystal discs are intact and secure set. The post and earring backs are secure and in good working condition.
