Art Deco Delicate 14kt Emerald Cabochon + Diamond Earrings
A lovely pair of emerald earrings from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! Each earring is crafted in 14kt white gold, framing a natural emerald at the base, and a diamond at the top. The emeralds are smoothly polished into a round cabochon shape, and display a beautiful light green color with natural inclusions visible inside. A white gold bezel surrounds each stone, while a decorative filigree motif decorates the sides of the setting. The old Mine Cut diamonds are also bezel set, and they add the perfect sparkling accent! Completing the design are simple white gold wires with hinged lever back clasps, providing additional security when worn. A small maker's hallmark is stamped at the top of each wire, and a "14K" gold purity mark can be found on each lever back. When worn, the earrings hang delicately just below the ear. They are beautiful in their simplicity, and are suitable for day or night!
Measurements: The earrings measure about 5/8" in total length (including the wires). The emeralds and their surrounding borders measure approximately 8mm across.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the white gold setting. The emeralds and diamonds are intact and securely set. Both emeralds display some natural inclusions, which is a normal characteristic of genuine gemstones, and adds to their organic beauty. The hinged lever backs are secure and in good working condition.
