Art Deco Diamond Sapphire + Cultured Pearl Double Sided Flip Pendant
A stunning and unusual double-sided sapphire and diamond pendant from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This unique piece is crafted in platinum and offers two unique sides to showcase the stunning cultured pearl that is riveted into the center. The pearl is set in the center of an open circle, almost appearing to "float" within a sparkling border. One side is adorned with gorgeous old European Cut diamonds that rest in a shared prong setting, sparkling brilliantly in the light with every turn. The other side is decorated with calibrated sapphires with facets that reflect their rich blue hue perfectly. Fine milgrain accents embellish the gemstones and delicate airline cutouts grace the edge of the pendant, both adding a soft feminine touch to the design. Finishing the piece is a fluted bail, adorned on both sides with graduated diamonds, perfect for hanging the stunning pendant from a favorite chain. A unique and versatile piece, this wonderful pendant would look fabulous worn day or night!
Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 3/4" long, and measures about 3/8" wide and 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. The diamonds, sapphires, and pearl are all intact and securely set. The bail is secure and in good working condition.
