Art Deco English 9kt Rose Gold + Etched Buckle Bangle Bracelet
A gorgeous etched bracelet from the Art Deco (ca1923) era! English in origin, this elegant 9kt rose gold bangle displays a fabulous 3-dimensional buckle motif that graces the front surface. Realistic details depict the buckle, strap, and 3 notch holes, which are smoothly polished and reflect the light beautifully. A gorgeous etched floral and leaf design adorns the entire front surface, adding wonderful texture and dimension to the design. The bracelet is hinged and opens at a push clasp on the side, where a safety chain provides extra security. Stamped on the tongue of the push clasp is a "9 375" gold purity mark, which is also found on the inside of the bracelet beside English hallmarks including the anchor mark, indicating that it was assayed in Birmingham, along with a date letter "y" indicating it was produced in 1923 and a maker's mark "PHB." This stylish bangle would look fabulous worn alone or stacked with other bracelets, for a layered look. Blending perfectly into modern day fashion, it would make a fantastic everyday accessory!
Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures slightly more than 2 1/4" wide and is about 2" tall. The surface of the bracelet measures approximately 3/8" wide and 5/8" wide where the buckle is found, and is slightly more than 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the rose gold setting. The clasp and safety chain are intact and in good working order.
