Art Deco Sterling, Rock Quartz Crystal & Citrine Necklace
A fabulous rock quartz and brown citrine necklace from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This unique piece is comprised of a single strand of large beads that meet in the middle at a carved rock quartz crystal pendant. The brown citrine beads are split in the center, with a carved rock quartz bead resting in between. Faceted rock quartz spacers and delicate sterling balls alternate with the larger beads, forming a very striking pattern! The large oval pendant at the center has a lovely floral motif carved into the front surface, and a simple sterling push clasp is hidden within the plaque. Stamped on the back are the words "STERLING" and "GERMANY," which are now only partially visible due to wear. It's a simply magnificent piece and would make an eye-catching addition to any collection!
Measurements: The beaded necklace measures approximately 17.5" long. The rock quartz crystal pendant in the center measures 1 1/4" wide, 3/4" tall, and 3/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver, and the push clasp is secure and in good working condition. There are a few small chips in some of the brown citrine beads, however they are not noticeable when worn. The beads are all intact and securely strung.
