Art Deco Large Marbled Brown, Black + Ivory Layered Celluloid Ring
A bold and funky celluloid ring from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! This fabulous piece is crafted out of layered celluloid, which has been carved into a large rectangular face at the front. The face is adorned with an ivory colored rectangle surrounded by a rich black border, and finished with a delicate ivory colored outer border, creating a fabulous Art Deco aesthetic. The wide shoulders are crafted out of light and dark caramel hues, with lovely flecks that beautifully reflect the light, mimicking the appearance of tortoise shell. The shoulders trail into a wide band that graduates slightly towards the back, creating a seamless design. The ring is lightweight for comfortable wear, and would make a unique and bold statement piece when worn!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6.5 and unfortunately the piece cannot be resized. The black and ivory colored centerpiece at the front measures approximately 3/4" tall, about 1/2" wide, and rests slightly less than 1/4" above the finger when worn. The graduated band at the back measures 6mm wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is great. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the celluloid setting. There are a few very minor scratches to the surface, including one on the front and a few on the side, but due to their size and color, they are hardly noticeable when worn.
