A stunning pair of diamond and black Tahitian pearl earrings from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! Crafted in platinum, each earring adorns a single Tahitian South Sea pearl dangling at the base of an elegant drop design. The 13.5mm pearl exhibits a high surface luster and rich, shimmery gray color. Sparkling Single Cut diamonds line the surmount and dangling, geometrically-shaped links below, which create shapely cut-outs and a bold Deco design. A single Emerald Cut diamond rests at the center of each topper, for a combined diamond weight of approximately 1.00ctw between both earrings. The stones sparkle beautifully in the light and fine milgrained details are found throughout the piece. Finishing the design is a simple post and earring back. These incredible and classic Art Deco earrings dangle with lovely movement and frame the face beautifully. Perfect for special occasions, these earrings will making an incredible statement when worn!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 1 5/8" long, and is a little more than 1/2" at the widest point. The pearls measure approximately 8mm each.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting and all of the diamonds and both pearls are intact. The earring posts and backs are secure and in good working condition.
