Art Deco Platinum Diamond Engagement Ring 1.83ct center
A stunning diamond engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This incredible piece is crafted in platinum and adorns a gorgeous 1.83ct old European Cut diamond in the center of a highly decorative setting. The prong set stone exhibits G color and VS1 clarity, sparkling beautifully with every turn. Flanking either side are graduated diamond lined shoulders, each one featuring a fine airline cutout at the center. The Single Cut stones weigh 0.20ctw combined, and exhibit G-H range color and VS range clarity, adding even more radiance to the design. Fine milgrain work is found throughout the piece, and delicate cutouts grace both sides of the mounting, adding a wonderful feminine touch. Finishing the design is a gorgeous wheat motif that embellishes the band, which graduates towards the back, and stamped inside of the shank is a "10% IRID PLAT" purity mark beside an "S" maker's mark. A visual masterpiece from all angles, this gorgeous piece would make a stunning engagement ring!
Measurements: Gold balls have been added to the shank of the ring to prevent the piece from moving when worn. These balls could easily be removed if desired but in the current state, the ring has a finger size 4, but could be re-sized. The centerpiece rests approximately 1/4" above the finger when worn. The graduated band measures 1mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the platinum setting and all of the diamonds are intact and securely set.
