Art Deco Platinum Diamond Sapphire Engagement Ring 0.45ct
A gorgeous diamond and sapphire engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This stunning piece adorns a 0.45ct old European Cut diamond at the center of a beautifully ornate mounting. The sparkling stone exhibits G/H color and VS1 clarity, and rests in an octagonal box setting, catching the light beautifully with every turn. Two lovely triangular-shaped synthetic sapphires are set on either side, displaying deep blue coloring, perfectly complementing the center diamond. The ornate Art Deco setting is surrounded by 12 accent diamonds, collectively weighing 0.18ctw and displaying VS1-VS2 range clarity. Finishing the design is fine milgrained detail throughout and a swirled filigree wirework design below the mounting, creating a lovely and elegant design from every angle! Additional milgraining details the lightly carved band that tapers slightly towards the back where a faded "PLATINUM" purity mark is stamped inside of the shank. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA certified Gemologist in July 2019 and has a stated retail replacement value of $4,500.00. It is an absolutely beautiful ring and would make a stunning engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring is a finger size 6 but could easily be resized. The centerpiece rests slightly less than 1/4" above the finger when worn. The graduated band measures 1.5mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. All of the diamonds and the sapphires are intact and securely set.
