Art Deco Platinum Diamond + Sapphire Engagement Ring 0.71ct center
A beautiful ring from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! This unique piece is crafted in platinum and features a gorgeous old European Cut diamond set within a finely milgrained bezel centerpiece. The sparkling stone weighs approximately 0.71ctw and exhibits J/K color and SI1 clarity. Two deep blue calibrated sapphires flank each side of the diamond: a rectangular cut and a trillion cut, coming together to create a lovely triangular effect. The precious stones are surrounded by an open channel and fancy open filigree wirework pattern, adding wonderful intrigue to the design. A leafy, engraved motif adorns the band's shoulders and and a tapered, smoothly polished platinum band completes the look. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA-certified Graduate Gemologist in March of 2021, and has a stated retail replacement value of $4,600.00. This ring would make for a very special gift or a wonderful engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 5.25 but could be resized. The central design measures about 8.5mm wide and the band is approximately 2mm wide at the back.
Condition: The ring is in overall excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. The diamond and sapphires are free of chips and are securely set. The sapphires display light abrasion, but this is not visible to the naked eye and does not negatively impact the rings' beauty or integrity.
