Art Deco Platinum Filigree Diamond Engagement Ring 2.00ctw
A spectacular diamond engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! This stunning piece is crafted in platinum and holds a single old European Cut diamond resting in the center of an incredible filigree mounting. The center diamond is prong set in a north-south-east-west manner, and exhibits M/N color, SI1 clarity, and an approximate total weight of 2.00ctw. The mounting displays an exquisite filigree design complete with fine wirework, artistic cutouts, and delicate milgrain detail. An elegant engraved wheat design travels along the sides of the ring, completing the lovely Deco design. The ring was appraised by an accredited and independent GIA-certified Gemologist in December 2020 for $17,500.00. An outstanding Art Deco engagement ring, it looks absolutely breathtaking when worn and would be perfect for any bride-to-be!
Measurements: The ring is a finger size 6, but it could be re-sized. When worn, the ring rests about 1/4" atop the finger.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or to the diamond, which is intact and securely set.
