A simply stunning sapphire ring from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! This fantastic piece is crafted in platinum and features a striking sapphire cabochon set in its center bezel. The vibrant blue gemstone is a natural, no-heat Ceylon sapphire and weighs approximately 4 carats in total weight. The stone is set within a bold design featuring an elongated octagonal-shaped centerpiece which is adorned with 0.60ctw of sparkling old Mine Cut diamonds. Ten additional sapphires detail the piece, four set in the corners of the octagonal face and six which line the band's shoulders, collectively weighing approximately 1.50ctw. Small platinum wirework circles add intrigue to the octagonal setting and feminine engraved swirls decorate the band. A faint mark can be seen stamped along the inside of the shank. Accompanying the ring is a Gemological Sapphire Origin Report issued by GIA (Gemological Institute of America) in February 2021, which provides further details about the center stone. This breathtaking ring looks incredible when worn, and would make a perfect addition to any collection!
