$14,995
An exquisite sapphire ring from the Late Art Deco (ca1930) era! This stunning piece is crafted in platinum and holds an incredible natural sapphire at the center of a classically simple prong setting. The four prong set Ceylon (Sri Lankan) sapphire has an exact weight of 6.28 carats, and is beautifully faceted into a modified cushion cut and boasts a beautiful light blue color. The natural cornflower blue color displays no indications of heat treatment. The ring features an open gallery, allowing light to flood the sapphire. The shoulders are a cathedral style and taper into a simple, plain shank which is faintly marked for platinum on the interior of the band. Accompanying the ring is a Sapphire Origin Report from the Gemologist Institute of America dated November of 2022 (report #6223722078). A simple but bold piece, this stunning sapphire solitaire ring would make a great addition to any collection!

Measurements: The ring is a finger size 5.75 but could easily be resized. The ring rests a little under 1/4" above the finger when worn. The tapered band measures 1mm wide at the back.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. The sapphire is intact and securely set with a faint, naturally occurring inclusion which is only visible under careful examination.
