Art Deco Platinum Old Cushion Cut Diamond Engagement Ring 1.02ct center
A gorgeous and elegant diamond engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! Crafted in platinum, this wonderful piece holds a sparkling 1.02ct old Cushion Mine Cut diamond at the center. The stone is held in a classic 4-prong setting, and exhibits G color and SI1 clarity, sparkling brilliantly in the light with every turn. Delicate Full Cut accent stones line the cathedral-style shoulders, surrounded by fine milgraining, and a gorgeous wirework design embellishes the airline cutout along the side of the mounting. Completing the design is a delicate split band that graduates towards the back with a smoothly polished finish. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA-certified Graduate Gemologist in December 2019, and has a stated retail replacement value of $8,000.00. The ring delivers a spectacular sparkle when worn, and would make a unique vintage engagement piece!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size scant 6.25, but could easily be resized. The center stone rests approximately 1/4" above the finger when worn. The band measures 1.5mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or to any of the diamonds, all of which are intact and securely set.
