Art Deco Sterling Camphor Glass & French Paste Earrings
A beautiful pair of camphor glass earrings from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! Made of sterling silver, each of these lovely earrings are comprised of a clear camphor glass plaque, which holds a single French paste stone set in the center. The camphor glass has a hand carved design on the back, which shows through to the front as a beautiful starburst's rays. Surrounding each plaque is an open back sterling frame, which is detailed with a fine filigree motif. The earrings hang from elongated surmount links attached to simple wire tops. These exceptional earrings could be worn everyday would make a gorgeous addition to any collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 2" long and measure 3/8" at the widest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting or to the camphor glass and French paste stones.
