Art Deco Sterling Large Citrine Teardrop Pendant Necklace 25"
A gorgeous citrine necklace from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This beautiful piece is comprised of a single, relatively large teardrop citrine that hangs from a long sterling silver chain. The citrine displays a stunning faceted surface on each side, similar to a prism, beautifully reflecting the light with every turn. The stone's color is wonderful, exhibiting a gorgeous light golden yellow hue and riveted into the top is a smoothly polished bail. The stone hangs at the center of a long interlocking link chain that fastens at the back with a spring ring clasp stamped with a "STERLING" silver purity mark. A fabulous necklace, it would make a wonderful statement piece when worn.
Measurements: The chain measures approximately 25" long. The pendant hangs about 2 1/4" long (including the bail at the top), is a little more than 7/8" wide, and about 5/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to sterling silver setting or to the citrine stone. The bail and spring ring clasp are secure and in good working condition.
