Art Deco Sterling Rock Crystal + Marcasite Earrings
A striking pair of rock crystal earrings from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! Crafted in sterling silver, each earring features a relatively large rock crystal link which hangs from a sparkling marcasite topper. The link displays a single rectangular shaped crystal that rests in an open back frame, allowing the stunning facets to catch the light beautifully with every turn. The stone is claw set and the frame is graced with delicate circular and crescent shaped cutouts along the sides, adding a wonderful feminine touch. The link swings freely from an elongated milgrained topper lined with 3 marcasite stones, adding even more sparkling radiance to the design. The earrings hang from simple wires at the top, and they dangle with lovely movement and frame the face beautifully. Both classic and versatile, these stunning earrings could be worn day or night, and would make a fabulous addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs 1 3/4" long (including the wire at the top) and measures about 1/2" wide and 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting. The rock crystals and marcasite stones and intact and securely set. The earring wires are secure and in good working condition.
