A contemporarily made engagement ring in the Art Deco style! This stunning piece is crafted in platinum and features a gorgeous old European Cut diamond resting in the center of an exquisite setting. The bezel set diamond weighs approximately 1.72ct and is positively radiant in person, exhibiting J color and SI1 clarity. A round border of 24 calibrated French cut sapphires surrounds the diamond to form a spectacular gemstone halo complemented by a lovely milgrain frame. The French cut sapphires have stunning color, creating a seamless band of deep, vivid blue. Accenting the shoulders of the ring are eight single cut diamonds, bead set amidst fine milgrain detail and geometric cut outs that illuminate the stones. Completing the design is an elegantly detailed open gallery. The band tapers slightly, and is marked 950 for platinum on the interior. The ring was appraised in March of 2023 by an independently accredited GIA Diamonds Graduate, with a retail replacement value of $18,000. Measurements: The ring has a finger size 7 1/2 but could be resized. The sapphire and diamond centerpiece measures a little less than 1/2" square on the finger when worn, and stands 6.75mm off the finger.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting and all of the stones are intact. Two of the sapphires are slightly abraded, but this is hardly noticeable when worn.
