Art Nouveau 14kt, Demantoid Garnet, Opal + Pearl Leaf Earrings
A whimsical pair of earrings from the Art Nouveau (1910s) era! Crafted in 14k yellow gold, these lovely earrings have a feminine leaf design featuring vibrant opals and gorgeous demantoid garnets. The rarest of all garnets, the demantoid garnets display an incredibly bright green hue which beautifully highlights the greens within the opal stones. A single pearl rests in the center of each leaf, perfectly complementing the vivid gemstones with their soft white luster. The earring design is slightly curved, and the pair contours against the wearer's ear, reminiscent of floating, falling leaves. The earrings secure with screw posts and matching screw backings for added security. This feminine set would make an incredible addition to any Art Nouveau lover's collection.
Measurements: The earrings measure slightly lass than 5/8" from the stem to the tip of the leaf. They measure 2/5" at their widest and about 1/8" deep including the pearl.
Condition: The earrings are in overall excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The demantoid garnets, opal stones, and pearls are all intact and securely set. The screw posts and earring backings are secure and in good working condition.
