Art Nouveau 14kt Mississippi River Pearl + Diamond Lavalier Necklace 15.25"
A lovely pearl and diamond necklace from the Art Nouveau (ca1900) era! Crafted in 14kt gold, the lavalier-style necklace features two natural Mississippi River pearls hanging from an intertwining branch link at the center. The pearls exhibit a wonderful shimmery luster, and hang from two chain extensions that differ slightly in length, creating a subtle asymmetrical look. Resting at the center of each extension is a bezel-set old Mine Cut diamond, sparkling beautifully next to the creamy white color of the pearls. Completing the feminine design is a delicate gold chain, which is embellished with two sparkling accent diamonds and lovely natural pearls. The necklace fastens in the back with simple spring ring clasp. A wonderful example of the Art Nouveau aesthetic, this gorgeous piece would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: The necklace measures 15.25" long. The centerpiece hangs approximately 1 3/8" long and is about 1" wide and 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The natural pearls and diamonds are intact and securely set. The spring ring clasp is secure and in good working condition.
