Art Nouveau 14kt Scrolled Wirework Sapphire Bangle Bracelet
A gorgeous sapphire bangle bracelet from the Art Nouveau (ca1900) era! Crafted in vibrant 14kt yellow gold, this fabulous piece adorns a lovely scrolled wirework motif which carries around the entire middle surface. The beautiful flowing design rests along an open setting, creating an attractive cutout appearance in between each curl and fold. Interspersed throughout are six bezel set sapphires which add a wonderful pop of color to the beautiful design. The vibrant stones have a rich, deep blue hue which pairs perfectly with the yellow gold setting. The bracelet is stamped "14" along the inside, next to a small "B" maker's hallmark. A spectacular piece, it would look stunning worn by itself or stacked with other similar bracelets and would rest comfortably on an average sized wrist. Both versatile and artistic, it would make any collection complete!
Measurements: The opening of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 3/4" wide and 2 1/8" tall. The surface measures a little less than 1/2" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is great. There is some minor denting along the surface edges of the bangle, a couple that show signs of being previously repaired. The damage is minimal and due to the location, it is not noticeable when the bracelet is worn; please refer to images. Besides this wear, there is no apparent damage to the scrolled wirework center and all six sapphires are intact.
