Art Nouveau English 18kt Carved Floral + Heart Motif Ring
A gorgeous and romantic ring from the Art Nouveau (ca1913) era! This beautiful and unique piece is crafted in vibrant 18kt yellow gold and adorns a row of carved flower and heart motifs across the front. The carved design graduates in size and displays three flowers at the center, surrounded by symmetrically placed hearts along the edges. The angular curves of the design catch the light beautifully with every turn, showcasing the beautiful craftsmanship of the piece. A delicate, swirled carved design decorates the shoulders, which trails into a smooth band that wraps around the back. Stamped inside of the shank are several English hallmarks including the marker's mark "E. V.," a crown, "18," a shield (indicating that the piece was assayed in Chester), an "N" (indicating that it was hallmarked in 1913), beside the letter "Y." A stunning and romantic ring, it would make a special everyday piece that could be worn alone stacked with other rings!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 9, but could easily be resized. The carved centerpiece measures approximately 3/8" wide and rests about 1/16" above the finger when worn. The band measures approximately 4.5mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting.
