Art Nouveau Sterling Moonstone Festoon Necklace 15.25"
A stunning moonstone necklace from the Art Nouveau (ca1900) era! Crafted in sterling silver, this gorgeous piece is comprised of 17 moonstone links which hang beautifully in a festoon style fashion at the center of a simple chain. The oval-shaped moonstone cabochons rest in an open back bezel setting, and graduate slightly in size. The stunning stones exhibit a clear, pale blue color and a soft iridescent flash that catches the light beautifully. Finishing the necklace is a delicate interlocking chain that fastens in the back with a simple spring ring clasp. The necklace rests beautifully along the neckline, making a gorgeous statement when worn. Perfect for day or night, this incredible necklace would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 15.25" long. The largest moonstone link at the center measures about 3/4" long and 1/2" wide, and the smallest stones measure approximately 3/8" long and a little more than 1/4" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting. The moonstones are all intact and securely set. The spring ring clasp is secure and in good working condition. A few of the stones exhibit slight natural inclusions, and one has a possible repaired chip, however they are barely noticeable when worn.
