Art Nouveau Sterling Moonstone Link Festoon Style Necklace 16"
A stunning moonstone necklace from the Art Nouveau (ca1900) era! This gorgeous sterling silver piece is comprised of a multitude of moonstone links, which hang in fabulous a festoon style fashion. The oval-shaped links graduate in size towards the center, with the largest one hanging beautifully below the center link. Each moonstone is set in an open back bezel setting, allowing the light to pass through to showcase their pearlescent blue color and iridescent flash. A delicate curb link chain fastens the piece at the back with a simple spring ring clasp, allowing the necklace to drape beautifully along the neckline. Both elegant and stylish, it would look perfect worn day or night!
Measurements: The necklace chain measures approximately 16" long. The moonstone links range in size with the largest measuring approximately 1/2" long, 3/8" wide, and 1/8" thick, and the smallest measuring 1/4" long, a little less than 1/4" wide and 1/8" thick. The central link hangs approximately 1 1/4" below the center stone link.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting, and all of the moonstones are intact. The spring ring clasp is secure and in good working condition.
