Arts & Crafts Sterling Faux Moonstone + Crystal Pendant Necklace
A lovely and artistic faux moonstone pendant from the Arts and Crafts (ca1900s) era! This beautiful piece is crafted in sterling silver and features a beautiful faux moonstone pendant which hangs from fine silver chain. The pendant adorns a single faux moonstone cabochon at the center, the alluring stone bezel set and encircled by a curled wirework frame. Eight sparkling crystals are set within the textured border, each bezel set in a symmetrical pattern. The substantial blue stone is easily mistaken for the genuine stone, exhibiting strong flashes in its open backed setting. The pendant attaches to a fluted bail and hangs from a sterling chain which fastens at a secure spring clasp in the back. A very special piece, this lovely pendant displays exemplary craftsmanship and the necklace would make an elegant addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs 1 1/4" long, is approximately 1" at its widest point and has a depth of 3/8" at the thickest point. The chain measures 16.5" in length.
Condition: The overall condition of this piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting and the faux moonstone and crystals are all intact.
