Arts & Crafts Two-Tone .800 Silver Green Tourmaline + Pearl Ring
A wonderful tourmaline and pearl ring from the Arts & Crafts (ca1910s) era! Crafted in .800 purity silver, this handmade piece features a decorative navette-shaped design. A natural green tourmaline stone is bezel set at the center, flanked at the top and bottom by two lustrous pearls. The trio is set within the scrolling silver open wirework face, surrounded by curled flourishes and accented by the gilded backing which shows through to the front. The luscious tourmaline and creamy white pearls beautifully complement each other and the two-tone silver setting adds the perfect finishing touch. Completing the design is a simple and smooth band, which is stamped with an "R.R" maker's mark and "800" on the inside of the shank. A wonderful example of the Arts & Crafts Era aesthetic, this artistic ring makes a beautiful statement piece!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 7, but could easily be resized up or down. The navette-shaped pearl and tourmaline centerpiece measures a little less than 1 1/8" tall and 5/8" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the two-tone silver setting. The tourmaline and both pearls are all intact and secure within their setting. There is a natural darkened patina within the grooves of the piece, which is normal and adds depth to the design.
