A fabulous French cross pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era by BRESSANS! This wonderful piece is made of sterling silver and has a bold and romantic enameled design. The body of the cross features bold blue, red, and white glittering enamel amidst gold accents with petite green and orange glass cabochons. The cross is outlined by a delicate rope-like border, elevating the design of the piece and adding some additional texture. The cross shows evidence of being gilded at one point in time with gold, however this has faded slightly throughout giving the cross a wonderfully antiqued look! French hallmarks can be found on the ring at the top. Completing the design is a simple sterling ring, allowing you to add this to your favorite chain. A very special piece, this lovely pendant would make a wonderful addition to any sterling jewelry collection!
Measurement: The cross hangs approximately 1 1/2" long, is a little more than 1" at its widest.
Condition: The overall condition of this piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the sterling setting or to the enameling and the bail is secure.
