Edwardian 14kt/Platinum Diamond + Natural Blue Zircon Drop Earrings
An exquisite pair of dangling natural blue zircon and diamond earrings from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! These beautiful earrings are crafted in platinum and 14kt yellow gold and display a simple, yet stunning drop design. Each earring begins with a bezel set old European Cut diamond attached at the base of a simple gold earring wire. Hanging below is a row of 4 additional sparkling diamonds, each of them held within a complimentary milgrained bezel. The diamonds are hinged together, providing lovely movement to the design, and collectively, have an overall diamond weight of approximately 0.70ctw between both ears. At the very bottom of each earring is a single natural blue zircon stone, which is oval in shape and beautifully faceted. The zircons are held in an 8-prong setting and display a rich, intense blue color that stands out dramatically against the gold and platinum setting. These gorgeous earrings look absolutely stunning when worn and would be perfect for special occasions!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 1 1/4" long, and are a little more than 1/4" at their widest point and 1/4" at the thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and platinum setting or to any of the diamonds and zircon stones, all of which are intact. The earrings wires are secure and in good condition.
