A stunning diamond engagement ring from the late Art Deco (ca1930) era by prestigious Newark, NJ maker Sloan & Company! This beautiful piece is crafted in platinum and adorns a sparkling 1.51ct old Mine Cushion Cut diamond at the center. The prong set stone exhibits J color and SI1 clarity, sparkling beautifully as it catches the light with every turn. Each shoulder is embellished with a fabulous overlapping design lined with gorgeous Single Cut accent diamonds, showcasing the Art Deco era perfectly. The 10 sparkling diamonds weigh approximately 0.15ct combined, and are surrounded by fine milgrained edges that add a lovely feminine touch. Delicate airlines cutouts are visible below the mounting, and a smoothly polished band tapers slightly towards the back. Stamped inside of the shank is a "PLATINUM" purity mark beside the signature Sloan & Co. trident maker's mark, along with the faint remnants of an inscription. The ring was appraised in December 2019 by an independent and accredited GIA-certified gemologist and has a stated retail replacement value of $13,000.00. Measurements: The ring has a finger size scant 5.25, but could easily be resized. The center stone rests approximately 1/4" above the finger when worn. The graduated band measures 1mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or to any of the diamonds, all of which are intact and securely set.
