An absolutely gorgeous starburst pin/pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This beautiful piece is comprised of 42 lustrous natural pearls that surround a single old Mine cut diamond center. The diamond weighs approximately 0.10ctw and rests slightly higher than its pearl border. It has a wonderful convex shape and the pearls look beautiful next to the bright yellow gold. On the back of the starburst is a pin clasp and a complimentary removable gold bail which is lined in pearls rests at the top. The piece is stamped "SS18" on the back. It's a simply lovely piece that would make a beautiful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pin/pendant hangs 2" long, measures 1 1/2” wide and has a depth of 1/4".
Condition: The overall condition of the pin/pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and all of the pearls and the diamond are intact. The pin clasp and bail are secure and in good working condition.
