Early Victorian Petite 14kt/Sterling Rose + Mine Cut Diamond Star Earrings
An absolutely breathtaking pair of diamond starburst earrings from the early Victorian (ca1850) era! These beautiful earrings are crafted in 14kt yellow gold topped in sterling silver and form the shape of a dazzling 8-point starburst. Resting at the center of each is a stunning old Mine Cut diamond, which is micro-prong set with an open back. Lining the rays of the starburst are 16 sparkling old Rose Cut diamonds, all of which are closed back. The combination of the multi-cut stones creates a simply fabulous diamond-encrusted effect which looks wonderful on. At the top of each star is a simple gold earring wire that holds the earrings close to the ear. This incredibly stunning pair of Victorian earrings, have an elegant and feminine design and would make an outstanding addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each earrings hangs 3/4" long, measures 5/8" wide, and is 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and silver setting and all of the diamonds are intact. The earring wires are secure and in good condition.
