A gorgeous diamond pendant necklace from the Early Victorian (ca1830) era! This beautiful piece is crafted in sterling silver and forms the shape of an ornate shield adorned with sparkling diamonds. A single old Rose Cut diamond adorns the center of the pendant, resting in a foil-back setting that beautifully reflects the light with every turn. The belcher set stone is raised and surrounded by an elegant beaded border, adding wonderful texture to the design. The top of the shield is decorated with two additional accent diamonds on either side, and resting in the middle of the open center topper is a single old Rose Cut diamond, completing the sparkling design. The contrast of the darkened patina surfaces and the polished raised areas provides lovely dimension to the design. A simple bail rests at the top, allowing the pendant to hang from a complimentary chain. A perfect everyday necklace, this Victorian piece blends seamlessly into modern day fashion and would make a gorgeous addition to any collection!

Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 1 1/8" long (including the bail at the top), measures about 1/2" wide, and is 1/4" thick.

Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting and all of the diamonds are intact and securely set. Due to the hand cut nature of old Rose Cut diamonds, the shape of the stones do not have perfect symmetry. This reflects the age and genuine appearance of antique diamonds.
