A stunning sapphire ring from the Edwardian (ca1910)era! Crafted in 14k yellow gold and topped in platinum, this beautiful ring adorns a 8ctw+ no-heat Ceylon cushion cut sapphire. The sapphire displays a stunning blue hue and is enhanced by a halo of 14 sparkling Mine Cut diamonds that bolster the sapphire's fabulous color. The sapphire is prong set in 14k gold, whereas the diamonds are all prong set in platinum. The ring is completed with a simple golden band with cathedral-style shoulders. Accompanying the ring is GIA Sapphire Origin Report #2225860135 completed March of 2023 stating the Sapphire's origin as Sri Lanka, with no indication of heating. This lovely piece would be a wonderful addition to any Edwardian collection!
Measurements: The ring fits a finger size of 7.75 but could easily be resized. The design measures approximately 1/4" tall and 1/2" wide.
Condition: The ring is in overall excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and sterling setting. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set. The sapphire is intact and securely set.
