Edwardian 14kt Foil Back Moonstone & Enamel Stud Earrings
A beautiful and unusual pair of stud earrings from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! These delicate studs were once a pair of Edwardian cufflinks that have been transformed into earrings, making them a wonderful antique conversion piece! Made of 14kt yellow gold, each earring holds a moonstone cabochon at the center of an enameled frame. The blue enamel border that encircles the moonstone center has a fine Guilloché pattern visible below the surface. The moonstones are bezel set in a foil-backed setting, accentuating their iridescent quality. On the back of each earring is a secure 14kt yellow gold post and earring back, allowing for comfortable and easy wear. A unique pair of antique studs, they are perfect for everyday wear and would make a wonderful addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: Each earring face measures 1/2" tall, 3/8" wide, and 3/16" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, enamel detail, or moonstones, which are intact. The posts and earring backs are secure.
