Edwardian 14kt/Platinum Diamond Filigree Earrings 1.30ctw
A gorgeous pair of diamond filigree earrings from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! These lovely earrings have a stunning and feminine design crafted in platinum topped 14kt yellow gold for a lovely 2-tone effect. Each earring features a diamond lined front facing hoop dangling a larger old Mine Cut diamond at the center. Each stone rests in a bezel setting, and the top of the hoop trails into a lovely old Rose Cut diamond lined criss cross motif. The hoop is attached to a leaf-shaped topper and an additional bezel set diamond adorns the top, where collectively, all of the diamonds weigh 1.30ctw. The open-back stones exhibit H/I range color and VS/SI clarity, with each one catching the light beautifully with every turn. Fine milgrain detail and elegant cutouts along the edge of each earring are the perfect finishing touches. When worn, the earrings hang from clasped yellow gold wires at the top (stamped with a "14KS" gold purity mark), allowing them to swing with lovely movement, framing the face beautifully. They have a timeless and classic appearance that would be perfect for special occasions!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 1 1/4" long, and measures about 1/2" wide and 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum and yellow gold setting. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set. The clasped earring wires are secure and in good working order.
