Edwardian 14kt/Platinum Diamond + Sapphire Filigree Earrings 1.20ctw centers
A gorgeous pair of diamond and sapphire earrings from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold topped with platinum, each piece features an ornate elongated link hanging from a diamond topper. Dangling freely at the base is a bezel set old European Cut diamond, encircled by calibrated sapphires. Lovely accent diamonds rest within the filigree cut out design of the long link, shimmering beautifully in their open back setting and the faceted sapphires display a rich, deep blue hue, a perfect color contrast to the bright diamonds. The long link dangles from a sparkling topper, which is adorned with a single bezel set old Mine Cut diamond that is attached to a simple earring post at the back. The bezel is detailed with fine milgrain work, a lovely accent which is found throughout each earring. Collectively, the diamonds weigh 1.20ctw, creating a sparkling array as they catch the light with every turn. When worn, the earrings dangle with lovely movement, framing the face beautifully. They have a timeless elegance that would be perfect for special occasions!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 1 5/8" long and measures about 3/8" wide and is a little more than 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum or gold setting and the diamonds and sapphires are intact and securely set. The earring posts are secure and in good working order.
