Edwardian 14kt/Platinum Diamond + Turquoise Teardrop Earrings
A beautiful pair of diamond and turquoise earrings from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! These gorgeous earrings are crafted in 14kt yellow gold and platinum, and have a lovely and feminine two-tone appeal. Each begins with a sparkling diamond topper which attaches to a hinged post on the back. Hanging from the stud surmount is a prong set turquoise cabochon, an additional accent diamond, and finally a teardrop-shaped turquoise which dangles freely from the bottom. Both old Mine Cut diamonds rest in a platinum bezel setting, while the turquoise stones are both set in yellow gold. The turquoise cabochons exhibit gorgeous sky blue and sea foam green hues, pairing perfectly against the gold setting. Fine milgrained detail surrounds both diamonds as well as the teardrop-shaped turquoise cabochon, adding a wonderful feminine touch. The earrings dangle with lovely movement and frame the face beautifully. They have timeless and elegant look and would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang slightly under 1" in total length, and measure approximately 1/4" wide, and slightly more than 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum and gold setting. All of the diamonds and turquoise stones are intact and securely set. The hinged posts are secure and in good working condition.
