Edwardian 14kt/Platinum Natural Pearl + Diamond Pendant Necklace
A beautiful and delicate diamond and pearl necklace from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! This feminine piece is comprised of a soft silver pearl pendant which hangs from a contemporary 14kt yellow gold chain. The lustrous natural pearl has an elongated shape and a platinum-topped 14kt gold foliate motif resting at the top. A single sparkling 0.10ct old Mine Cut diamond is bezel set within the center of the design and a gold bail attaches at the top, secured by a bar riveted into the back of the pearl. The pendant hangs from a fine modern chain which fastens at a secure lobster clasp in the back that is stamped with a "14kt" gold purity mark. The beautiful design of the necklace would be suitable for everyday wear or special occasions and the piece would make a wonderful gift for someone special!
Measurements: The pendant hangs nearly 7/8" including the bail, and measures a little more than 1/4" at the widest. The chain measures 16" long.
Condition: The overall conditions of the pendant and chain are excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and platinum setting. The pearl and the diamond are both free of damage and securely set. The chain's lobster clasp is secure and in good working order.
