Edwardian 14kt/Sterling 2.00ct Colombian Emerald + Diamond Ring
A stunning emerald and diamond ring from the Edwardian (ca1915) era! This incredible piece is crafted in 14kt yellow gold with sterling silver accents and adorns a fabulous Colombian emerald at the center. The Emerald Square Cut gemstone weighs approximately 2.00ct, exhibiting an intense vivid green hue as it rests in a lovely prong setting. Two old Rose Cut accent diamonds decorate either shoulder, each held in a sterling silver bezel setting, providing a wonderful mixed metals appeal. Four gold beaded accents are symmetrically placed around the center stone, while a lovely carved band graduates towards the back where it is stamped with a "585" gold purity mark on the inside of the shank. The sparkling diamonds and rich green color of the emerald look fabulous paired with the two-tone setting, creating a fabulous statement piece when worn. A gorgeous and unique Edwardian ring, it would make a stunning gemstone engagement ring or could be worn to mark a special occasion!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 7 but could easily be re-sized. The centerpiece rests slightly more than 1/8" above the finger when worn. The graduated band measures about 1mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling and gold setting and the emerald and diamonds are all intact.
