A magnificent stickpin from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! Crafted in 18kt yellow gold, this stickpin adorns a masterfully carved Opal in the shape of a pharaoh's head. The incredible opal displays a phenomenal rainbow gradient, and its coloring is so vibrant that the piece appears to glitter! The handsome, detailed face and traditional Egyptian nemes headwear glow as light passes through its gold frame, stamped "18K" on the backside. Though not visible when worn, the Boulder opal displays a lovely lavender hue on its backside, and it is truly a beautiful stone from every angle. A simple stick pin with spiral detail completes the design, ready to be worn on a favorite outfit. This stickpin is a gorgeous piece, and it would be an impressive addition to any Edwardian collection.

Measurements: The carved pharaoh's head measures approximately 15/16" tall, 7/8" wide, and 3/16" deep, excluding the pin. The pin itself measures 2 1/4" long and approximately 1mm thick.

Condition: The stickpin is in excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The opal is intact and securely set, free of chips and scratches. The pin is secure and in good working condition.
