Edwardian Platinum 18kt Emerald & Diamond Ring 1.75ct
A breathtaking emerald and diamond ring from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! Made of platinum-topped 18kt yellow gold, this stunning ring features an exquisite 1.75ct Emerald Cut emerald in the center, surrounded by a border of 10 Old European cut diamonds (H/I range SI1-2 range) weighing approximately 2ctw. The diamonds rest in a scalloped bezel setting, forming a flower-like centerpiece. Adorning the shoulders of the mounting are an additional two accent diamonds weighing .40ctw. The contrast between the vivid green emerald and the sparkling diamond border is simply spectacular! The vivid yellow gold band is smooth and has cathedral-style shoulders where the band meets the center. The stamp "750" appears inside the shank. A truly magnificent ring, it makes a stunning statement when worn. It would make an exceptional piece for special occasions, or a very special gemstone engagement ring!
Measurements: The face of the ring measures approximately 5/8” tall, 1/2" wide and 1/4" thick. The ring has a finger size 7 but could easily be re-sized if desired.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, platinum top, or to the emerald and diamond stones, all of which are intact.
