Edwardian English 9k Opal Heart Padlock Bracelet

A beautiful gold link bracelet from the Edwardian (ca. 1906) era! This intricate and wonderful piece is made of 9k rose gold and is comprised of fine interlocking links that meet at a heart-shaped padlock clasp. The oblong links are smooth on the surface and loosely resemble love knots with a bezel set opal in each link. Each opal measures approximately .50ctw/each, totaling approximately 4.0ctw. The padlock clasp opens at the side of the handle, and a safety chain provides extra security. The backside of the clasp has several English hallmarks including "9", "375", an Omega symbol, a date mark which reads the lowercase letter "L" and the letters "EGB". The handmade piece is beautifully made and very light and comfortable to wear. It's a fabulous bracelet and would look wonderful worn alone or paired with complementary link bracelets!

Measurements: The bracelet measures approximately 6.25" in length and is 1/2" wide. The padlock heart hangs 1" long and measures 5/8" wide.

Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold links and the heart-shaped clasp and safety chain are secure and in good working condition. All of the stones are secure in their settings and display no wear.
