Edwardian French Sterling + 9kt Gold Filigree Chain Necklace 54"
A lovely sterling French chain from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! Crafted in sterling silver, this beautiful chain necklace is comprised of sterling ellipse-shaped links, which have a simple yet elegant wirework design. Featured at the center of each link is a gorgeous textured and swirled design and displayed on the alternating links is a polished 9kt rose gold bead at its center, adding a wonderful two-tone look to the elegant piece. Sections of fine chain connect the ornate links together and at the center of the chain is a large spring ring clasp, making it easy to double the chain or attach a complimentary pendant or locket if desired. The clasp as well as the connecting sterling ring have several French hallmarks. This beautifully made piece would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The entire length of the chain measures 54" long. The ellipse-shaped links measure approximately 1/2" long and 1/8" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the chain is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver, rose gold or to the clasp, which fastens securely and is in excellent working condition.
