Edwardian Large 14kt/Platinum Diamond Horseshoe Pendant Necklace 3.50ctw
An absolutely stunning diamond horseshoe pendant necklace from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold and topped in platinum, this fabulous piece consists of a large diamond encrusted horseshoe pendant which hangs at the center of a complimentary chain. The incredible horseshoe is lined with approximately 3.50ctw of sparkling old Mine Cut diamonds, each one resting in an open back prong setting. The stones exhibit H-I range color and VS range clarity, brilliantly catching the light with every turn. A vibrant yellow gold chain is attached at either side of the pendant, and is comprised of an alternating pattern of smoothly polished barrel links and sections of delicate chain. The necklace fastens in the back with a spring ring clasp, stamped with a "14KT" purity mark beside a maker's mark, and the back of the pendant is stamped with a faded maker's mark of "...EICER & SON." Blending perfectly into modern day fashion, this diamond horseshoe necklace makes a fabulous statement when worn!
Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 22" in total length. The horseshoe pendant measures about 2" tall, 1 3/4" wide, and is 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the yellow gold and platinum setting. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set. The chain clasp fastens securely and is in good working condition.
