Edwardian Platinum/14kt Diamond Star Motif Cluster Pendant Necklace 1.10ctw
A lovely diamond pendant necklace from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! This beautiful necklace is comprised an antique diamond pendant which hangs from a fine modern white gold chain. The pendant is crafted in 14kt yellow gold topped in platinum and features a sparkling array of eight old European Cut diamonds which surround a slightly larger diamond at the center. The stones are prong set and separated by the star's beaming, milgrained rays, collectively weighing approximately 1.10ctw. The pendant hangs from a modern 14kt white gold chain and fastens with a secure lobster clasp in the back which is stamped with a "14K" gold purity mark. The delicate and beautiful design makes this a perfect piece for everyday wear!
Measurements: The diamond cluster pendant has a diameter of just under 5/8", and is 3/16" thick. The chain measures 18.5" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum-topped gold setting. There is a very small chip along the edge of one of the diamonds, however, it is not visible to the naked eye. Otherwise, the remaining diamonds are all intact and securely set and the chain and lobster clasp is in good working condition.
