Edwardian Platinum/14kt Mixed Metals Diamond Engagement Ring 2.17ctw
A gorgeous mixed metals diamond engagement ring from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! This beautiful two-tone piece has a 14kt yellow gold shank and platinum top and features an exceptional old European Cut diamond at its center. The sparkling stone, which is prong set within the octagonal shaped platinum setting, exhibits L/M color and VS1 clarity and has a total approximate weight of 2.17ctw. Soft engraving and open filigree wirework travels along the shoulders and sides of the mounting, further adding to the overall beauty of the piece. The inside of the shank is stamped "PLAT. & 14K". The ring was appraised in January 2021 by an independent and accredited GIA-certified Gemologist and has a retail replacement value of $22,000.00. It is an absolutely stunning Edwardian piece and would make a gorgeous engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring is a finger size 6.75 but could easily be resized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and platinum setting or diamond, which is intact.
