Edwardian Platinum/18kt Pavé Diamond Cigar Band Style Ring 2.00ctw
An absolutely exquisite cigar band style ring from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This stunning platinum piece adorns a diamond encrusted elongated centerpiece resting on a decorative band. The old Mine Cut diamonds vary slightly in size with the largest stones at the center and together they collectively weigh approximately 2.00ctw. The diamonds display H-J range color and VS-SI range clarity, each stone catching the light brilliantly with every turn. The stunning diamonds are pavé set within three concentric elongated borders, and the entire centerpiece is slightly convex in shape to perfectly fit the curve of the finger. Finishing the design is fine milgrain work that adorns one border, and delicate airline cutouts that grace the entire edge of the centerpiece. The shoulders form an elegant flourished design that adorns 5 old Mine Cut diamonds on each side, and a smoothly polished 18kt yellow gold band graduates slightly toward the back. This breathtaking ring would look fabulous worn on special occasions, or could make an incredible gift for someone special!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size scant 6.5, but could be resized if desired. The centerpiece measures a little less than 7/8" tall and a little more than 1/2 wide, and rests approximately 1/8" above the finger when worn. The graduating band measures 1.5mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum and gold setting. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set.
